Parking in the facilities

There are more than 4,000 parking spaces located on different facilities covering all strategic points of the city. The parking facilities San Francesco in Via Baldassarre Peruzzi, Santa Caterina in Via Esterna di Fontebranda and La Stazioneare equipped with escalators to reach quickly the city centre and a free dedicated Taxi service for people with disabilities on demand. The most centrally located parking facilities are: Stadio Fortezza car park in the area of the Fortezza Medicea with the possibility of using two different entrances; car park Il Campo inside Porta Tufi and near piazza del Campo,where you can find Palazzo Pubblico, Torre del Mangia and Museo Civico;and finally car park il Duomo close to the Duomo, to the Santa Maria della Scala museum, S. Sebastiano church and S. Nicolò del Carmine church.

Parking lots

They are a valid alternative to facility parking even if they do not provide vehicle custody. They are located in different and main streets of the city close to the traffic-restricted zone of the historic center, thus in convenient and strategic places to reach the main and most important touristic places.

Parking is charged from 8 AM to 8 PM, week-ends and holidays included. Payments can be made at the parking meters (by cash or with your Sostapay Card) or in-app (Sipark Sosta, Easypark and Dropticket) with your smartphone. The hourly rate is € 1,50. Discounts are available for residents or depending on the payment method.

VIA ROMA CAR PARK – 103 parking places
Close to Porta Romana and Basilica dei Servi, it is the ideal parking solution to visit the southern part of the city .

VIA BASTIANINI E VIA MASCAGNI CAR PARK– 33 parking places
Close to Porta Laterina and along the city centre traffic-restricted zone (ZTL), it is ideal to reach Pian dei Mantellini area.

VIALE FRUSCHELLI E PANNILUNGHI, VIA VITTORIO VENETO CAR PARK– 106 parking places
Right in front of Fortezza Medicea, it is a valid alternative to “Fortezza – Stadio” parking facility for those visiting the northern part of the city centre.

It is also possible, thanks to the Sipark app (downloadable here, or from the Apple and Android stores), to be updated in real time on free parking spaces in the parking facilities but also to pay for parkingin the on-street parking lots without using parking meters (Sipark is not the only app available. Here other two: Dropticket and Easypark).
