Until March 30, 2025, explore a new journey through the masterpieces of 20th-century Italian art at Santa Maria della Scala. For the first time, treasures from the vaults of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena and the prestigious Cesare Brandi collection are on display. Discover works by renowned artists such as Carrà, Guttuso, Sironi, De Pisis, Burri, Severini, Morandi, and many more. Curated by Luca Quattrocchi, the exhibition maps a unique “constellation” of Italian art from the Great War to the early 1960s, encompassing styles from “Novecento” to Déco, propaganda art, realism, and abstract expressionism.

The Gallery of the Civic Museum of Siena (formerly the Quadreria) reopens with a renewed layout. After years of restoration, visitors can once again admire significant works by artists like Ambrogio Lorenzetti, Niccolò di Ser Sozzo, Neroccio di Bartolomeo de’ Landi, Jacopo della Quercia, and Francesco Vanni. The gallery’s new chronological arrangement complements the existing monumental rooms, offering a comprehensive overview of Sienese art from the medieval golden age to the modern era.
