At the Santa Maria della Scala Museum Complex, you can visit two noteworthy exhibitions:
- The exhibition “Aleardo Paolucci: Between Pienza, Siena, and Rome in the Footsteps of Pius II” is a prestigious showcase celebrating the art of Aleardo Paolucci (1927-2013) with 54 works dedicated to Pope Pius II. The exhibition runs until June 9 and spans the artistic cities of Siena and Pienza, culminating in Rome.
- The “Object Book” exhibition at Santa Maria della Scala, from March 23 to July 7, 2024, is a significant national event. Following its resounding success at the Adi Design Museum in Milan in October 2023, this fifth edition expands to various locations in central and southern Italy, including the picturesque setting of Siena. The exhibition features works from the Fifth Biennial, including four installations and 46 artist, hybrid, and design books, some enhanced with augmented reality. Also on display are the winners of the first Best Book Award, offering an immersive experience into contemporary book creativity.
