Exclusive guided tours for an immersive experience

From September 1 to October 31, 2024, the Buongoverno Restoration Site will reopen its doors, offering a unique opportunity to admire one of the most renowned masterpieces of Italian medieval art: Ambrogio Lorenzetti’s fresco cycle, “The Allegory and Effects of Good and Bad Government.” Located within the Civic Museum in the evocative Palazzo Pubblico of Siena, the site provides a rare chance to view these frescoes up close during their restoration.

The guided tours will be conducted by expert local guides, specially trained to ensure a rich experience filled with historical and artistic details. To maintain a safe and pleasant environment, each tour will be limited to a maximum of nine people per session, including the guide. This small group size ensures an exclusive and intimate experience, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the magnificence of the frescoes and learn about the techniques and secrets of their restoration.

Tour schedule and language

The scheduling and format of the tours will remain the same as in previous cycles, with six daily sessions from Monday to Sunday at the following times: 10:30 AM, 11:15 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:45 PM, 3:30 PM, and 4:15 PM. The guided tours will be conducted in Italian, except for the tours at 10:30 AM and 11:15 AM on Monday mornings, which will be held in English to accommodate international visitors.
