An Unforgettable Summer of Music, Performances and Culture in the picturesque Medici Fortress
What to do in Siena this summer? Join the Siena Summer Festival a season full of events in the beautiful setting of Siena’s Fortezza Medicea.
It kicks off on Saturday, June 3, at 7 p.m. at the San Domenico Bastion with an opening night dedicated to fun and entertainment, featuring Superpila, a highly acclaimed band, not only in the Siena area, who will get the audience dancing with their addictive rock ‘n roll.
Summer evenings at the Siena Summer Festival will be lively, thanks to the vibrant atmosphere and a wide range of events, ranging from live music to theater and dance performances and DJ sets, interspersed with engaging performances. In addition, a literary review is planned with prominent names from the local and national scene.
To accompany the events and performances, the Bastion Bar will be the perfect place to meet with friends, sit in the shade of the Fortress trees and enjoy an aperitif or a glass of bubbly, accompanied by local culinary delights. In addition, starting June 8, the Fortress Pizzeria will also be open every evening during the events, which will be held in the amphitheater inside the Fortress itself.
Not only music and performances, but also sports activities especially dedicated to mothers-to-be. From pilates to fitness, all by the M’AMA SIENA Center.
Starting June 23, the Siena Summer Festival will be enriched with the “Cinema in the Fortress” program, with evening screenings at 9:30 pm.
